Born in Fairfax, Jasmit Singh Brar, M.D. returned to the Virginia area to join National Spine and Pain Centers in early summer 2018. A University of Virginia graduate with bachelors and medical degrees respectively, Dr. Brar completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medicine. In 2018, he finished a Tri-Institute Pain Medicine Fellowship at Weill Cornell, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Dr. Brar was drawn to the anesthesiology field through the desire to provide individualized and compassionate care for patients undergoing critical surgical procedures. While pursuing his medical studies, he witnessed the impact of patients' chronic pain conditions inspiring him to seek additional training in pain management.
