With kind, compassionate care, I will not just evaluate your pet but also offer practical, whole-life advice on how to increase their comfort level and reduce stress, helping you to maintain a reasonable quality of life and a strong bond with your pet. Because they are seen at home, your pets are not subjected to the stress or germs of a hospital environment.
*For young, healthy animals I can help with preventive health care, with specific,targeted vaccination, plus suggestions for optimal dietary and home environment.
*If they get sick, I can evaluate, medicate, test and prescribe as appropriate. I can even do minor surgical procedures, such as cleaning and suturing wounds from fights.
*For aging adult pets I can help with annual exams and testing, working with you to maintain the healthy middle part of their lives as long as possible.
*Toward the end of life I am there as well, with hospice care including pain relief, hydration and nutritional support as appropriate.
*When the time comes, I offer gentle, in-home euthanasia. This is such a good ending. No stress, no transport issues, with the pet seeing and feeling the family's love through the last breath.
I work with a private cremation service, Caring Pet, in Los Gatos. Their careful attention and lovely ceramic urns have earned them a stellar reputation. I can take care of all the details or you can make your own arrangements.
