In addition to the services mentioned above Sun Dental also offers orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages. Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry focused on the diagnosis and treatment of dental and associated facial irregularities. The results of orthodontic treatment can be dramatic - beautiful smiles, improved dental health, and an enhanced quality of life for many people of all ages. Orthodontic problems, which can result from genetic and environmental factors, must be diagnosed before treatment begins. Proper diagnosis involves taking photographs, x-rays, and dental impressions that enable our practice to make informative decisions about the form of treatment necessary.

SUN DENTAL SMILE PROJECT

Sun Dental & Orthodontics "Smile Project" was developed to both reward a child for their hard work and to promote philanthropy in the community through a "pay it forward" approach.  This will not only give someone a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime, but have the potential to create a positive wave of giving in the community.

Every year one current patient at Sun Dental & Orthodontics between the ages of 11 and 17 will be chosen to receive free orthodontic care in exchange for a 40 hour community service project (Smile Project) completed by the end of their first year in treatment.  This project will be designed and fulfilled by the child themselves.
