Dr. Yaoming Gu joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 2012 after serving for seven years as an Assistant Professor at Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Virginia Commonwealth University. A seasoned clinician, Dr. Gu earned his medical degree from China Medical University. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School after interning in Surgery at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Gu is skilled in a host of sophisticated interventional techniques, such as epidural steroid injections, vertebroplasty, discography, percutaneous disc decompression, facet joint injection, and radiofrequency ablations. He is also well-experienced with spinal cord stimulation.
