The Staunch Moderates philosophy/perspective is for us to set our differences aside, find common middle ground on issues we can work on together.  It's to evaluate, negotiate, compromise, and decide about the most equitable conclusion humanly possible while understanding that hardly anything in life is black & white but many shades of grey. There are almost always valid points to both sides of an argument.
